Fred Kranepool was a disguise used by Mr. Burns when he learned that his employees hate him.
History[]
Mr. Burns was trying to become friends with his employees, he had a self-made costume and an alias of Fred Kranepool. Although it changed Mr. Burns voice and appearance it was still flawed. This is mostly seen when Fred and his friends are outside of the power plant or drinking at Moe's mostly because of Mr. Burns' old age and inability to drink very much. Eventually, the Fred Kranepool costume is destroyed by Smithers and the employees learn it was Mr. Burns the whole time, which upsets them.
