Continuity[]
- Carl mentions that Homer was responsible for a dome being placed over Springfield; this is a callback to The Simpsons Movie.
- The last time Homer realized the cafeteria was free was in "Baby You Can't Drive My Car".
- In Lisa's lament, it shows many 'jobs' Homer has done previously, such as his Pie Man persona in Simple Simpson, Singing in the B sharps in Homer's Barbershop Quartet, being a mall Santa in Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire, Mr. Plow, an astronaut in Deep Space Homer, conducting the monorail in Marge vs. the Monorail, the safety salamander in See Homer Run, a boxer in The Homer They Fall, a football coach in Bart Star, his new nuclear plant job in this episode, turning into a lego minifigure in Brick Like Me, helping Krusty make a movie in the Clown Stays in the Picture, selling quack medicine with Abe in Grampa vs. Sexual Inadequacy, trying to keep Ogdenvillians out of Springfield in Coming to Homerica, being a rockstar in How I Spent My Strummer Vacation, selling tomacco plants in E-I-E-I-(Annoyed Grunt) and becoming Zardoz Homer in a future episode of Season 49.
Cultural References[]
- The title of this episode is a reference to the 2019 short film Frankenstein's Monster's Monster, Frankenstein.
- When Homer asks the Viking masseuse what Vikings can't do, the masseuse responds with "Win the Super Bowl", a reference to the Minnesota Vikings NFL team never winning a Super Bowl (the Vikings did reach the Super Bowl four times but lost all four).
- Life in Hell-Sinki is a reference to Life in Hell.
