Glen Hansard (born April 21, 1970) is an Irish songwriter and actor. He is also the founder, guitarist and vocalist for the Irish music group The Frames, and one half of the folk rock group The Swell Season (along with Markéta Irglová). Both Hansard and Irglová were cast as guest stars in the Season 20 episode, "In the Name of the Grandfather".

In 1990, Hansard formed The Frames, an Irish rock band. Hansard and Irglová formed The Swell Season in 2006.

He has been credited for acting roles for numerous TV shows and movies, including Parenthood, Play, Once, and The Last Man on Earth.

Hansard (and Irglová) won an Academy Award for Best Original Song for his song "Falling Slowly" from the film Once, and Hansard also won as a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, for the musical version of Once.
