Homer Simpson

Gone Fishin' is the twentieth Simpsons short and originally aired on The Tracey Ullman Show on January 24, 1988.

Plot[]

Bart and Homer go on a fishing trip and Bart is carrying the boat that's blocking his eyesight and he can't see through. When he goes to put the boat in the lake he collapses under the weight of the boat and falls in the water. Bart gets in the boat and starts floating away without the paddle. Homer swims over and gets on the boat and once he gets in he isn't very happy with Bart. Then, Homer asks Bart to fetch a baloney sandwich for him, but Bart discovers that he forgot the baloney. Without Homer's knowledge, he puts the bait (worms) on the sandwich instead as an alternative. Strangely, Homer actually likes the worm sandwich. Later on, they hit rapids and Homer was close to being knocked unconscious. Bart enjoyed the rapids but Homer didn't at all. To calm his nerves, Homer tells Bart to sing the song Row Row Row Your Boat. Then they fall down a waterfall and when they splash at the bottom Bart concludes the song and short with "life is but a dream".
