The Grand Canyon is an American touristic attraction and National Park in Arizona. It is a rock formation carved by the Colorado river.
History[]
When Springfield was threatened to be destroyed by a bomb during the Trappuccino incident, the crater that would be formed was promoted as the "New Grand Canyon". During a commercial, a family appears on the Grand Canyon, saying it is a boring place.
It appears again on the episode "Fland Canyon", where the Simpsons and the Flanders are visiting the canyon. However, their tour guide fell off a cliff making both families stranded inside the canyon, so Homer and Ned decided to steal the supplies from a millionares camping site in order to survive.
