Howard Phillips Lovecraft (1890-1937) was an author best known for his book "The Call of Cthulhu". H.P. appears in the opening of Treehouse of Horror XXIV, were he takes the place of Sideshow Bob during the sidewalk scene and is drinking tea with the great old one Cthulhu.
