The Hockey player family couch gag is the ninth couch gag of Season 16.
Plot[]
The Simpson family, dressed up as hockey players (all of whom have one missing tooth, except for Homer, who has a missing tooth and a black eye, and Maggie, who has no outward signs of being beaten up), skate into the living room and skate around the couch. They then face the viewers and cheer. Homer is carrying the Stanley Cup with Maggie sitting in the bowl, who is smiling (around the time this episode aired, there was an NHL lockout).
