Homer's XXXercise Tape is a VHS tape that appears in the episode "Flanders' Ladder".

History[]

After the Internet goes down in the Simpson house, Homer pulls the VCR out and he and Marge reminisce on classic TV shows they watched when they were younger.

At one point, a VHS tape labeled "Homer's XXXercise Tape" is seen playing, but everyone ignores it. A few seconds later, in fact, it's revealed that Homer is sleeping on the couch while Bart and Lisa are fighting with each other.

Later on, the VCR breaks for unknown reasons. Homer wakes up and tries to call someone to repair it, but he's soon reminded of the Internet's abscence.

Description[]

Homer's XXXercise Tape is an exercise tape starring Australian singer Olivia Newton-John as the main instructor. The workout takes place in a gym and consists of Olivia and her two assistants exercising to the song "Physical".

Appearance of the Instructors[]

Olivia Newton-John has wavy hair and wears a pink and white short-sleeved leotard, a pink belt, pink leg warmers, pink and white shoes, a pink headband and pink earrings. She stands on a purple yoga mat.

The woman on Olivia's right has blonde hair tied in a ponytail and wears a lavender blue leotard, blue leg warmers, lavender blue and white shoes and a blue hair tie. She stands on a blue yoga mat.

The woman on Olivia's left has brown wavy hair and wears a green leotard, green leg warmers, green and white shoes and a green headband. She stands on an orange yoga mat.

Trivia[]

  • The tape's name is presumably a reference to the provocative outfits worn in the video being spank-worthy and/or the habit of hiding homemade VHS porn by mislabelling it.
  • The video is heavily inspired by workout videos from the 1980s.
    • This is evidenced by the instructors' outfits and the exercises being aerobics-related.
