Homer is the name of a bowling ball that first appeared in "Life on the Fast Lane." Bart Simpson put a bowling ball in the present box. Marge received the present from Homer Simpson, thinking it was a selfish gift. She then goes bowling out of spite, and starts an affair with Jacques. The ball is seen later on in most bowling events throughout the series, such as in "Colonel Homer." Homer also is seen changing color; in "Bart Gets an Elephant" it is black, while in "Please Homer, Don't Hammer 'Em" it is blue. In "Colonel Homer" it is a significantly lighter and less bright shade of green.
