At the end of Homer's story, he says that he becomes king of the Morlocks. Carl later says that morlocks are from the future. The Morlocks are from H.G. Wells' The Time Machine.

The renovated Moe's in this episode is a reference to a restaurant the creators went to.

Homer immediately rushing back to the oxygen tank after telling his friends that he's going to confront Moe about the new bar.
the Russian prostitute lamenting that her penis has been falling off ever since the Chernobyl nuclear disaster (with Moe thinking "penis" is a Russian word).

Moe's shirt collar overlapping his hand
When Moe picks up the “Malaysian Beer” and says how good it is, you then see a shot of Homer talking, then when Moe puts down the beer, it’s a Duff.
When Moe advises Lisa not to talk, the collar of his shirt is briefly drawn over his finger so that a line overlaps it.
At the end of the episode, Homer puts a tip in the jar. After the screen pans back, the jar is empty.
In the last scene, Homer isn't wearing a tie in one shot but is wearing his pink tie when he goes to put a tip in the jar.
