Hong Kong (Cantonese: 香港) is an autonomous country. Its official languages are Cantonese and English. Bart visited it during his time as a courier and delivered a pair of eyeballs. Seymour Skinner went on vacation while Bart was a courier and spotted him in the airport.

At the time of the original broadcast of "Bart on The Road", Hong Kong was a British crown colony until it was formally handed over back to the Chinese government in an official handover ceremony on July 1, 1997.
