The human librarian is a librarian at the college which Lisa Simpson and Hugh Parkfield attend. He bears an uncanny resemblance to Hugh and even wears the same outfit as him, but unlike Hugh he has a moustache. He holds a book for Hugh while he is tying his shoe. Later, when Hugh and Lisa fall in love and the Robot Librarian fails to understand the sudden onset of emotion, he explains that it is because of the fact that she is a robot.
