It was one of the businesses seen in the village of Springfieldia when Homer, Bart, Helen Lovejoy, Timothy Lovejoy, Jr., Ruth Powers and Jeremy Freedman were stoning Snake for being able to read.

Hyborian Apparel is a reference to the fictional Hyborian Age from Conan the Barbarian, and is also a parody of American Apparel.
