- Bart and Milhouse get slimed at the end of their shopping spree at Hello Krusty, which is a reference to the slime dumped on contestants on many Nickelodeon game shows in humiliation.
- The show Odder Stuff is a parody of Stranger Things.
- The cartoon that features a horse version of Marge is a parody of BoJack Horseman, which Homer dismisses as "Too depressing", referring to the show's depressing nature.
