Iceland is a country of Europe.

History

A restaurant at the Springfield Squidport is named "What They Eat In Iceland."[1]

Carl once said that he spent part of his boyhood in Iceland.[2]

A team from Iceland is seen competing in the 2010 Winter Olympics.[3]

After Carl cheats Homer, Lenny and Moe by running off with their lottery money, the three discover, after looking at a picture of Carl, that he is from Iceland. Further enquiries reveal that Carl was adopted by the Carlson family, that is hated in Iceland due to their failure to hold back the Viking invasion centuries ago.[4]
