India is a country in Asia and is Apu Nahasapeemapetilon's home country. Kwik-E-Mart headquarters is located here on the Himalayas and Apu and Homer travel there to get Apu's job back. The Springfield Nuclear Power Plant was temporarily outsourced to India and Homer becomes a supervisor for the Plant. There, he meets a relative of Apu[1].

To rescue a cow Bart raised, Apu shipped the cow by air to India since cows are sacred animals in the country[2].
