"Call Me Ishmael" is the famous opening line of Moby-Dick by Herman Melville. In "Call Me Homer" Grampa Simpson tells a story to Bart and Lisa about their great-great-great-great grandfather's adventures on the high seas onboard a whaling ship out of Nantucket with many parallels to Moby-Dick.
