Jeffrey Jacob Abrams (born June 27, 1966) is an American film director, producer, screenwriter, and composer. As a producer and director, his most notable films he directed and produced are Star Trek (2009), Super 8 (2011), Star Trek Into Darkness (2013), Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019). He is also the creator of numerous TV series such as Felicity, Alias, Lost and Fringe.
In The Simpsons, he guest starred as himself in the Season 32 episode "Do PizzaBots Dream of Electric Guitars?".
