A janitor worked at Springfield Nuclear Power Plant.
Biography[]
Joined by the townsfolk of Springfield and former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich, he performed "Goodbye, Middle Class", a song and dance performance which taught Bart Simpson about the history of the eventual disappearance of the American middle class by the 21st century, and why it was unfeasible for Bart to pursue his father Homer's career as a nuclear safety inspector. Because the education system was as terrible as the economy, Bart had difficulty learning what metaphors were; the janitor unwittingly told Bart to burn the treehouse he was in, when he meant to say "Burn it" as in destroying and rebuilding a broken system. Bart's life was saved by Springfield's fire department, which was a more promising career path for Bart.[1]
