In ''[[The Simpsons Game]]'' (the PS3/Xbox 360 version), It is stated that the reason he talks in his squeaky voice is because he's always nervous. The alien he was talking to threatens to kill him if he's still shy. He stops being nervous and his voice is very deep. He also speaks in a "normal" voice in the episode [[Marge vs. Singles, Seniors, Childless Couples and Teens, and Gays]], where he first says, in his normal squeaky voice, "It's time to put away childish things..." and then in a deeper voice, "...and become a man!" There is a spanish version of him working in a theme park in " I don't want to know why the caged bird sings"

Cleanup 3 This article needs to be put into In-Universe style.
All episode names must be made into references using <ref>[[Episode Name]]</ref> with <references/> at the bottom under a heading References. This will fit in with Project Characters.

Jeremy Freedman, also known as Squeaky Voiced Teen, Pimple-faced teen, Pimple-faced kid, Puberty Boy, Geeky Teenager and Old Man Peterson, is one of few teenagers on the show and is perpetually trapped in a series of dead-end jobs. Jeremy has acne vulgaris, and his voice is in the process of breaking. In the 1st 10 Seasons, he has gone from Yellow skin to White Skin and back.

Biography

Appearances in other Simpsons media

Couch gag appearances

He appeared in the opening sequence of one episode, kissing an attractive blond girl on the couch. In the introductory sequence of another episode, he appeared as a valet getting the Simpsons' couch for them.

DVD Boxset appearances

He appears on the 10th season DVD box on both the front and side, as well as the plastic cover for the limited edition Bart Simpson head box.

Character traits

Suicide attempt and romantic life

In "Fraudcast News" he attempted to commit suicide by jumping off a cliff, because FOX cancelled Futurama. He landed in a car in which two teens were making out, crushing one of them. The attractive girl then said You crushed my boyfriend! You'd better be good at making out. In "Mom and Pop Art", he is an employee at Mom & Pop Hardware, wearing the 'Pop' nametag. He tells Bart that he's only working there to "get a date with 'Mom' [another employee]". Later in the episode, he is shown making out with her.

Self defense

In "Marge vs. Singles, Seniors, Childless Couples and Teens, and Gays", he lost his squeaky voice to "become a man", after Lindsey Naegle suggested that the adults "kill every child... friendly thing in town".

Real name

Seymour Skinner refers to the character as "Jeremy" in a deleted scene on The Complete Fifth Season DVD. In an episode where the bullies Jimbo, Dolph and Kearney work at a shoe store they refer to him as Mr. Freedman.

Jobs

He has had many jobs. He is regularly seen in Krusty Burger, though has also worked in the Grocery Store and the movie theatre (in The Simpsons Movie). In "Hail to the Cat", he works for a company called Book Returns. Also , it is shown that he might have a job at Krusty Land, during the Simpsons Ride. In 2003, he went to film school and became a Janitor.

Family

In the season 7 episode "Team Homer", it is implied that Lunchlady Doris is actually his mother, when he calls his mom and she replies "I have no son". Also in The Simpson Classic Collection Volume 3 Top Trumps, on his card it says 'Secret shame: Disowned by his mother, Lunchlady Doris'.

Surname

His surname is also hinted in the episode "Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy" when Abraham Simpson quits his job at Krusty Burger; Abe refers to him as "Mr. Peterson". In "G.I. (Annoyed Grunt)", he is referred to as "Mr. Freedman" by Dolph. His surname is presumably Freedman, probably due to Grampa's inability to correctly identify a person, and because "G.I. (Annoyed Grunt)" is a more recent episode.

Voice

In The Simpsons Game (the PS3/Xbox 360 version), It is stated that the reason he talks in his squeaky voice is because he's always nervous. The alien he was talking to threatens to kill him if he's still shy. He stops being nervous and his voice is very deep. He also speaks in a "normal" voice in the episode Marge vs. Singles, Seniors, Childless Couples and Teens, and Gays, where he first says, in his normal squeaky voice, "It's time to put away childish things..." and then in a deeper voice, "...and become a man!"
