Joan Rivers gained fame as a stand-up comic known for putdowns of celebrities.
History[]
In a flashback to 1986 Clancy Wiggum is channel surfing after getting kicked out of The Be Sharps and see Joan Rivers begins her late night talk show about him doing a gag reflex as he makes her want to puke so an angry Wiggum threw his gun at the television screen, breaking it.
She is on the Las Vegas strip and scares Ned Flanders after trying to get him to buy tickets to her show. She claims her daughter "is not talented".

Joan Rivers hosted her own late night talk show on FOX for 2 seasons starting in 1986.
The real Joan Rivers would guest voice as Krusty's former agent Annie Dubinsky.
