JOhN BULL'S FISh & ChIPS is a pub located on Main Street. Based on the name as well as the Union Jack being prominent on the sign, it was presumably a British-owned pub. During the Saint Patrick's Day Parade, around the time the Drunken Irish Novelists of Springfield disembarked their float to beat up some hecklers, the John Bull's Fish & Chips pub unexpectedly exploded, causing the populace to briefly run around and beat each other up due to being drunk.

- The scene itself was a reference to an event within Northern Ireland during the late 1960s to the late 1990s called The Troubles, where the Irish Resistance Army was causing terror sprees to British-aligned buildings, including bombings, which explains why the scene was cut from UK and European channels.
