Judah Ben-Hur is a rich prince and merchant in Jerusalem.

During the final of Soapbox Derby Race between Bart and Nelson, the commentator said that like "the elegant Roman in Judah Ben-Hur these modern charioteers battle ferociously".

In A Burns for All Seasons, Judah Ben-Hur (played by Charlton Heston) is one of shackled prisoners, led by Romans across the desert. Judah suddenly collapsed from exhaustion. Mr. Burns then appeared there and gave a bottle of water to him. Judah drank it and said "You truly are the king of kings." A heavenly light shone down upon Burns who said "Excellent."
