Lebanon (Arabic: لبنان, French: Liban) is a country in the Middle East. It is bordered by Syria and Israel and is located on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.
Lebanon is a developing nation. It once had a flourishing economy, but the Lebanese liquidity crisis, nationwide corruption and recent disasters such as the 2020 Beirut explosion, have precipitated the collapse of Lebanon's currency and fomented political instability, widespread resource shortages, and high unemployment and poverty.
