The Lethal Opening Sequence couch gag is the third couch gag of Season 10.
Plot[]
The family never makes it to the couch: Bart falls off his skateboard and breaks his neck; Lisa's bike trips over a dead Bart, catapulting her headfirst through the roof; and Marge and Maggie gleefully honk their horns as Marge crashes her car into Homer. Inside, Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees are waiting for the Simpsons to come in so they can kill them. An impatient Krueger asks where they are, but Voorhees shrugs it off and turns on the TV.

- This is one in a handful of couch gags where the family doesn't appear on the couch, joining the one on Simpsoncalifragilisticexpiala(Annoyed Grunt)cious where the family is locked out of the house and the one on "Homer's Phobia" where an unseen computer user tries to download the family on America Onlink, but the download speed is too slow.
