Maggie Roswell (born November 14, 1952) is an American actress. She performs the voices of Elizabeth Hoover, Maude Flanders, Helen Lovejoy, Luann Van Houten, Martha Quimby and others. The character of Maude Flanders was written out of the Simpsons show due to Roswell's departure.

After Season 10, she did not reappear until Season 14 due to a pay dispute. During this time, she was replaced by Marcia Mitzman Gaven.

She married fellow voice actor Hal Rayle on June 5, 1987 in Aspen, Pitkin County, Colorado. Their daughter, Spenser Freeland Rayle, was born on June 20, 1993. The couple own a voice recording studio in Denver, CO. [1] Her brother is movie music supervisor G. Marq Roswell [2]. Roswell had occasionally done live-action acting, starring in the 2002 film "Silver City", playing a secretary at a detective agency.

Roswell received a 1997 Annie Nomination, Best Individual Achievement: Voice Acting by a Female Performer in a TV Production, for the role of the ill-fated Shary Bobbins.
