Maximus is a light gray greyhound wearing a blue collar. He is less skinny than the average greyhound, but not overweight.
History[]
In "The Wonderful World of Lisa Simpson," Wolfcastle adopted him, and Santa's Little Helper became jealous of Maximus, who was more talented than him.
Wolfcastle and Lisa Simpson entered their respective dogs into a dog show, and backstage, Wolfcastle had Maximus balance on a ball. He told him to imagine the ball as his enemy and "dominate" it, prompting Lisa to suggest Wolfcastle was being "a little hard" on Maximus. Wolfcastle did not take Lisa seriously because she was a child and said that he and Maximus had to "break" her.
At the show, Maximus balanced books on his head, unicycled, jumped through a flaming hoop, and played chess with Moe Szyslak. Maximus nearly won, but ended up losing to a dog dressed as Krusty the Clown, who was judging the contest.
