Pépé "Meaux" Bouvier (1897-1976) (occasionally referred to as Great-Grampa Bouvier) was the owner of a French café (called Café Meaux), Nazi sympathizer and husband of Genevieve Bouvier. He was the father of Clancy Bouvier, Charlene Bouvier, JoJo Bouvier Herman Bouvier and Chester Bouvier the paternal grandfather of Patty, Selma, Marge Bouvier and Arthur, the maternal great grandfather of Bart, Lisa, Maggie Simpson and Ling, the father-in-law of Jacqueline Bouvier, and also the grandfather-in-law of Homer Simpson.
History[]
Meaux was a prolific Nazi collaborator, which his wife Genevieve didn't approve of. Geniveve held a meal for him and the Nazis in the basement of the café. When Genevieve attacked the commandant who was trying to take her, Meaux decided to help out and joined in killing the Nazis.
He shipped out with the Merchant Marines. His wife once told Marge the song "Brandy" was based on his life. Selma Bouvier sung "Brandy" as a lullaby to Lisa Simpson.
