Mel's wife is a character in Springfield of Tomorrow.
History
In the movie, her husband Mel owned a plutonium-powered auto on the spacious skyway. His car had got plenty of room for all of his wife's shopping. They then picked up Junior from Astroid Elementary by catching him by a robot arm that needed "a little adjustment". When they later wanted a little privacy, they flash-froze Junior until further notice.
