Sideshow Mel is one of the many sidekicks to Krusty the Clown on the Krusty the Clown Show. He is deep voiced and is usually spotted in big mobs or crowds pointing faults out.

Mel began his career as a sideshow when the first sidekick to Krusty framed the clown for armed robbery at the Kwik-E-Mart. When Bart Simpson solved the the crime, Sideshow Bob went to jail. The clown then replaced him with Mel thus starting his career.
