Trivia[]

  • The episode title is a reference to the slang term MILF - a collective name for middle-aged women who are still physically attractive enough to populate male (specially youngsters) sexual desires.
  • Toddlin' Town is a parody of Gymboree Play and Music.
  • In Jeffrey Albertson’s flashback, both Gummy Sue Spuckler and Crystal Meth Spuckler are shown in their current ages.
  • It was revealed that Ralph Wiggum's low IQ was due to Clancy Wiggum dropping him as a baby.
  • When CBG starts his story saying it takes them back to the creation of Middle-Earth, as told in the Ainulindale, and Valaquenta. Behold Melkor, proudest of the Ainu. This is a reference to "The Silmarillion" by J.R.R. Tolkien, wherein is described the creation and early ages of Middle Earth (seen as an alternative creation-myth for our world) where later the events of "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings" took part. However, CBG incorrectly uses the singular form "Ainu," when he should have used the plural term "Ainur."
  • Principal Skinner, Otto, Groundskeeper Willie and Lunchlady Doris are not taking part in the teacher brawl after Mike insults Bart and the other fourth graders.
  • In various rebroadcasts of this episode, the "Mothers Making Out" scene has been completely cut out.
  • This is the second episode Homer got blown up by fireworks. The first time was in "O Brother, Where Bart Thou?"
  • This is the first episode to be air in 2011.
  • The New York Jets are referenced in this episode as Bart references the movie where the Jets battle the Sharks, which begins with the Shark in a fighter plane, but it falls out of the sky and lands during a Jets football game, where the Jets players attack and tear apart the shark.
  • The other three boys with the same scars as Bart are never referred to by name, but according to the script for the episode, their names are Erik (the leader of the fifth graders), Ross (the boy with glasses), and Tyler (the black boy).

Goofs[]

  • Bart's scar only exists in this episode. Considering the other three boys with the scar only appear in this episode, this was probably intentional.
  • Jeffery Albertson mentions that Bart and his friends were still in diapers when they got the scars, as he says "You and your diaper-wearing droogs ruined everything". However, they are all wearing underpants in one of the flashbacks set prior to the one where they got the scars.
  • When Willie shows the boys his belly button, he is as fat as he looks when he has his shirt on. However in episodes before and since he has extremely ripped abs.
  • In the flashback to how Bart and his friends got their scars, Ned Flanders has a handlebar mustache, and the fireworks burn off the ends, giving him his usual mustache. However, he has had his usual mustache in flashbacks set before this one.
