Trivia

  • The episode title is a reference to the slang term MILF - a collective name for middle-aged women who are still physically attractive enough to populate male (specially youngsters) sexual desires.
  • In Jeffery Albertson's flashback, both Gummy Sue Spuckler and Crystal Meth Spuckler are shown in their current ages.
  • When CBG starts his story saying it takes them "back to the creation of Middle-Earth, as told in the Ainulindale, and Valaquenta. Behold Melkor, proudest of the Ainu" this is a reference to "The Silmarillion" by J.R.R. Tolkien, wherein is described the creation and early ages of Middle Earth (seen as an alternative creation-myth for our world) where later the events of "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings" took part. However, CBG incorrectly uses the singular form "Ainu," when he should have used the plural term "Ainur."
  • Principal Skinner, Otto, Groundskeeper Willie and Lunchlady Doris are not taking part in the teacher brawl after Mike insults Bart and the other fourth graders.
  • In various rebroadcasts of this episode, the "Mothers Making Out" scene has been completely cut out.
  • This is the second episode Homer got blown up by fireworks. The first time was in "O Brother, Where Bart Thou?".

Goofs

  • Bart's scar only exists in this episode.
  • Jeffery Albertson says that Bart and his friends were still in diapers when they got the scars. However, they are all wearing underpants in one of the flashbacks.
