The Mr. Plow jingle was sung by Homer as Mr. Plow and made for an advertisement that Homer and his family made for his new snow plowing business in the episode of the same name. The song is a parody of the Roto-Rooter jingle. The sketch and lyrics were written by Jeff Martin. This song is probably one of the most memorable ones. Musician Moby has stated in The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special – In 3-D! On Ice! that he has made over seven different remixes of the song, because it is his favorite. It is the thirty-first track on the album Go Simpsonic with The Simpsons.
- Homer (as Mr. Plow):
- So remember.
- Call Mr. Plow,
- That's my name.
- That name again is Mr. Plow.
The background music being heard during the commercial was generated by a Yamaha DX7 synthesizer using the "Electric Piano 1" internal patch.
Moby's remixes of the Mr. Plow song were released on YouTube to help promote The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special – In 3-D! On Ice!
