Mrs. Powell is the mother of Janey Powell, one of Lisa Simpson's friends. She is a non speaking character.

When Marge bans Lisa and Bart from watching the Itchy and Scratchy show, they go to their friend's homes to watch it. Bart goes to Milhouse Van Houten's house and Lisa goes to Janey's. She briefly appears there[1]. She was seen with her daughter at the Springfield Elementary School Carnival [2] and at a parent teacher meeting[3]. Marge mentioned her in "Marge vs. Singles, Seniors, Childless Couples and Teens and Gays" saying that she didn't keep her dignity.

Apparently, she makes good mac and cheese.[4]
