Nana Sophie Mussolini is Milhouse's maternal grandmother. She is from Italy and hates the English language, because a WWII American soldier made love with her and left her pregnant without saying goodbye or ask someone to help her while he's away. She used to whip Milhouse whenever he spoke English instead of Italian.[1]
