Ned Flandish is a character who appears in The Wettest Stories Ever Told and is shown as Ned Flanders from the early 1600's. He was shown on a ship fleeing England. His first appearance in this episode, he is shown praying on the ship. He is known to punish himself for anything slightly bad that he does. For example, If he says poetry, he would smack himself in the back with a whip and pour some salt on his wounds, shouting for god to forgive him. He is also in charge of sweeping dead body's off the ship, from all the other people that died on the ship. He is also not as good of a person as his possible descendant, Ned Flanders, letting Homer Simpson steer the boat while drunk, even though the Ned we all know and love would stop Homer Simpson from drunk driving. He is apperantly very famous, creating the name of New England. He named it that because he fled from England, and wanted a New England. He was mocked by Groundskeeper Willie for being unoriginal in the name. The same ship that he was on, was later used for a school on the ship.
