Neil Gaiman (pronounced GAY-min) is an English author of short fiction, novels, comic books, graphic novels, audio theatre and films. He is most famous for the comic book series The Sandman, his 2002 novel Coraline, and his 2008 novel The Graveyard Book, which has won the 2009 Newbery Medal. He has won numerous awards for his work.

On The Simpsons, Gaiman guest starred as himself in "The Book Job" and in "Treehouse of Horror XXVIII" as Snowball V in the Coralisa segment.

Trivia

• He is also known for writing two stories for the revived series of Doctor Who, and provided the voice-over of God on Fox's Lucifer. He also wrote the English dub for the 1997 Studio Ghibli film Princess Mononoke.
