Network Ten (also known as Channel Ten) is an Australian television channel that broadcasted The Simpsons in Australia.
Network Ten used to air The Simpsons in Australia from 1991 to 2011, and again from 2012 to 2014. Since 2011, Eleven, Network Ten's third channel, got the broadcasting rights for the show in Australia. Ten started showing the series on February 10, 1991 with the episode "There's No Disgrace Like Home", marking the debut of The Simpsons on Australian TV. In November 2012, Channel Ten started airing the show on the main channel (marking a "return") at 6pm until the launch of Family Feud. As of October 2017, the show no longer airs on the network due to CBS buying the channel.[1] The show now airs on 7mate as of 2018.
In March 1998, the Cheez TV hosts promoted the first-time airings of the skipped Season 6 episodes "A Star is Burns" and "'Round Springfield" under the name "Raiders Of The Last Bart". The ads were misleading, mentioned scenes from older episodes that are unrelated to the episodes.
