- The song called "In 1470" is a parody of At Seventeen by Janis Ian. Another song named "Barry-Barry Night" is a parody of Vincent by Don McLean. The former song appeared in "The Mysterious Voyage of Homer" and "Chief of Hearts" and the latter one appeared in "'Scuse Me While I Miss the Sky".

- Toulouse-Moetrec is seen in 1863, however Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec was born in 1864.
