Synopsis[]

Marge's "nice-lady" reputation is on the line when an unknown blackmailer threatens to expose the angry woman she is inside.

Plot[]

Marge visited the shop Dollar Troll due to the high cost of purchasing party food for her birthday celebration evening. To save money, she bought utensils, paper towels, and toilet paper, accompanied by Bart and Lisa. As they exit the store, Marge attempts to avoid Helen Lovejoy after purchasing a drink from Snooty Smoothies. However, Helen recognizes Marge and begins mocking her for shopping there. Afterward, they head back home, with Marge fuming the entire way before she stormed upstairs. While Marge is in the room, the kids and Homer may speculate about her methods of cooling down each time. Once Marge appears fully composed, she begins to host the night party. During the night party, Lindsey inquires of Marge where they put them, the children, overcrowded the living room, being supervised by Shauna. The residents, including Mayor Quimby, extend their congratulations to Marge for being recognized as the nicest woman in Springfield.

The following day, as Marge prepared to tidy up, she discovered that her secret box of hate letters had been gone from the closet. In her flashback, she writes letters after discovering an article managing interactions with individuals who had angered her. The thief sent a message to Marge, claiming to possess her letters and demanding $5,000 for their return. If she refused to pay ransom, they threatened to make the letters to the public. They visited the police station seeking assistance, but their efforts were unsuccessful. Consequently, Marge proceeded to a restaurant to request help from Patty and Selma in paying the ransom while Fat Tony was away. When Marge inquired, openly laughed at her, and advised her to express her emotions rather than suppress them.

Marge must pay ransom before the deadline, and when she receives a phone call from the thief, Homer answers angrily, expressing his fury instead of giving up. During Helen's speech at the church, she read the letters but mistakenly believed that Agnes had written them instead of Marge, which subsequently led to a fight breaking out. Marge received another call from the thief reminding her that she has only 60 minutes left to pay ransom before being released to the public, but she recognizes the voice behind it. Earlier, during Marge's party night, Shauna discovered a secret box containing hate letters in the closet while video chatting with Jimbo and proceeded to take them. Marge returns to her house with the intention of breaking in while Shauna is absent to retrieve her letter, only to find that Gary Chalmers is presently at home. While Homer intrudes, she conducts an impromptu interview for the PTA newspaper.

She remains steadfast, despite Chalmers interpreting her actions as flirtatious. Homer discovered the box in Shauna's room to retrieve it and left. Upon their return, they found only the novels; Shauna had taken her hated letters from the box. They observe Shauna and Jimbo at the Retirement Castle and proceed to chase after them until they reach a dead end. Marge pursued Shauna relentlessly, climbing the exit ladder all the way to the rooftop until she reached a dead end. As Marge attempts to explain to Shauna the reasons behind writing the hateful letters, Shauna moves dangerously close to the edge and falls, but Marge manages to grab her just in time. However, she faced a choice between saving the letter or Shauna. Ultimately, she decided to save Shauna, who seemed to apologize as the letters scattered among the people.

The letters are delivered to the residents of the town who are participating in the parade, including Tim Meadows. Marge delivers a speech to the crowd on a float, apologizing for concealing her negative emotions over the years. She expresses her desire to be seen not merely as a kind individual, but as someone with genuine feelings. Mayor Quimby then declares to Marge to be the most three-dimensional woman in Springfield. At the store, encounters Helen, who apologizes for her previous snarky behavior. Before continuing, Marge ensures Maggie's ears are covered and firmly states, "Kiss my ass!", and they walk off, leaving Helen shocked and devastated. In conclusion, Tim Meadows has been sending hateful letters to Marge, as well as to other individuals and organizations.
