Cultural References[]
- The title comes from the song "P.S. I Love You" by The Beatles.
- Dollar Troll is a parody of Dollar Tree. Some of the items for sale:
- Hawaiian Paunch (a knock-off of Hawaiian Punch fruit juice and a paunch is another word for a protruding belly)
- Government Cheese-It (a combo of Cheez-It and government cheese) with Uncle Sam shrugging his shoulders on the box.
- Circle-Os (knock-off of Cheerios)
- Crustee-Os (a knock-off of Frosted Krusty-O's) with a sad faced Krusty-lookalike clown on the box.

- Tim Meadows left Saturday Night Live in 2000 after 10 seasons, which at the time was the longest tenure of any cast member (and the first time an African-American cast member stayed on the show for longer than five years). One of Meadows' hateful letters is addressed to Lorne Michaels who runs Saturday Night Live.
- Teenage Marge has a copy of the magazine Teen Ladies Home Journal which is a reference to real magazine Ladies Home Journal and the trend at the time of "teen" version of magazines such as Teen Vogue or Teen People.
- Shauna's collection of "goth romance novel" is a pun on "gothic romance novel". Some of the titles are:

- The scene of Marge is the Italian restaurant where the shot is on Marge's face as she asks for help is replicating the very first scene of "The Godfather" where the undertaker Bonasera's face is in a tight shot and then widens as he is pleading for help to Don Corleone. The gag is the scene is how who Marge is asking remains unseen (just like with Bonasera and Don Corleone in "The Godfather") with the expectation it will be Fat Tony, but then relieved she is sitting across from Patty and Selma to ask for their help while Fat Tony is out of town.
