Paul Lynde was an American comedian and actor. He appeared in the Easter Special.

Bart and Milhouse watched the Easter Special at the Museum of Television and TV. In the special, Paul Lynde tells Nadia Comăneci he would like to hippity hop on her balance beam. She tells him that she doesn't think he understands the mechanics of heterosexual sex. Paul then answers that the circle gets the square. Bart liked it and told Milhouse that TV is better now.
Presumably, he either portrayed The Scoutmaster from the 1970s Radioactive Man TV series, or at the very least acted as the basis for the character.

Paul Lynde was an actor in the real world. He is widely believed to have been gay due to his flamboyant mannerisms and his lack of known heterosexual relationships. This suspicion was given a brief nod by Nadia Comăneci in their segment in Milhouse Doesn't Live Here Anymore where she accuses him of not understanding the mechanics of heterosexual sex.
