Ping-Ping is the name of the panda bear that dwelled in the Springfield City Zoo.
After the Springfield City Zoo received an "anonymous donation" of a "female panda" named Sim-Sim (actually Homer Simpson in disguise as part of a prank devised by Mr. Burns), Ping-Ping came out while "Sim-Sim" was being presented before the onlookers as part of a show. Ping-Ping, evidently viewing "Sim-Sim" as a potential mate (with Homer, stunned due to the electrical cattle prods' voltage being high enough to agonize him due to him only wearing a panda costume, only barely noticing after Ping-Ping is right behind him). After "Sim-Sim" "consented" to being his mate by raising "her" posterior in the air (due to Homer, while trying to flee, accidentally tripping over a food dish and landing on a rock high enough that his rump was raised), Ping-Ping then dragged "Sim-Sim" to be his mate, with the show concluding with a curtain stating the Pandas were "sleeping". However, "Sim-Sim", or rather, Homer, proceeded to scream while obviously trying to get away from being raped by Ping-Ping, with Moe while witnessing this darkly commenting "You ain't going nowhere, cutie!" Ping-Ping eventually fell asleep, with "Sim-Sim" then trying to sneak away and escape from the enclosure.

Ping-Ping, as well as the scene in the episode he was in, was negatively criticized for it treating Homer being raped as a joke.
