Praiseland was a theme park owned by Ned Flanders in memory of his late wife, Maude Flanders.

History[]

When Ned Flanders looks through Maude's old sketchbook, he discovers that Maude had visions of a theme park, with various drawings of what it would look like. Ned made this park in memory of Maude. Praiseland was made out of the old Storytime Village theme park, which was donated to Ned. Strange things began to happen when folk stood in front of the Maude statue, as they were seeing their own version of Heaven.

It was later revealed there was a severe gas leak (which was what caused the hallucinations), and orphans tried to light a candle under the statue. Homer and Ned pushed the orphans (Patches and Poor Violet) out of the way, causing a major scandal, and Praiseland was shut down.

Behind the Laughter[]

“Praiseland” is a parody of Graceland, Elvis Presley's mansion in Memphis, Tennessee.

It later appeared in The Simpsons: Tapped Out as part of the "Praiseland" promotion the game had during the Homerpalooza 2017 event.
