Elizabeth I was the real life queen of England from 1558 to 1603. She was the daughter of King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn, but as he wanted a son to inherit his throne he simply ignored her. Elizabeth become queen after the deaths of her father and half-sister, Queen Mary I.
Years later, while trying to find a husband, she rejected King Julio of Spain, wich made him swear revenge on England. They won the war by accident, when Sir. Walter Raleigh (Homer) made their only ship catch on fire and destroy the entire Spanish fleet. She later knights him, proclaiming "I don't need a man. I have England!"
