R3 appeared as a character in Cosmic Wars: Holiday Special.

He was seen manning a soup kitchen alongside a sweater-wearing silver droid, with the latter telling they should serve up some soup. R3 then complies via whistles and opens his head to feature a vat of soup inside.
Behind the Laughter[]
- The character is an obvious parody of the Astromech droid R2-D2.
- Within the Star Wars universe, there do exist R3 droids. They are similar to R2 droids, but have a transluscent dome and are intended for military use.
