Repo Depot is a repossession agency that collects property from Springfield residents who owe or have defaulted on payments.
History[]
Repo Depot has operated in Springfield since at least 1980. That year, workers repossessed various items from the Simpson family, including Bart's crib, mobile, and baby monitor and Marge's ring.
When Homer's business Mr Plow started to fail, he fell behind on the payments of his truck and Repo Depot repossesses the vehicle from 742 Evergreen Terrace.
After Bart ran up purchases on a fraudulent MoneyBank credit card, Repo Depot collected the items from the Simpson home. Instead of returning Laddie, Bart gave the Repo Depot workers Santa's Little Helper instead. A distraught Bart later visited the Repo Depot office to get his dog back.[1]
Repo Depot confiscated stock and property from new age retailer Karma-Ceuticals[2] and online animation company BetterThanTV.com when both businesses entered bankruptcy.[3] When Krusty loses some money from gambling, Repo Depot collects some of his possessions from his mansion.[4]
Behind the Laughter[]
Repo Depot's name is perhaps a parody of home improvement store Home Depot.
Repo Depot also made an appearance on the FOX animated TV series Duncanville, in the episode "Plumbdog Millionaire".
