Romania is a country in Eastern Europe.

History[]

Kent Brockman remarks, "Hang onto each new development like so many Romanian trapeze artists."^[1]

During the 2010 Winter Olympics the Romanian flag can be seen.^[2]

(Discussing foreign Krusty, to make more money, says the foreign rights to his show, but upset when he becomes the least popular Krusty. He asked, "What about Romanian Krusty?" and his agent replies, "You mean President for life Krusty?"^[3]

Behind the Laughter[]

Lugash's origins are left somewhat opaque except for him defecting into East Germany. The stage direction in script online notes he speaks with a very thick Romanian accent. Romania had a long history success in women's gymnastics at international competitions.
