Sam Malone is a character on the hit television sitcom Cheers. He appeared in The Simpsons episode "Fear of Flying" as the owner of the Cheers bar, where he tells Carla Tortelli that he is planning on a date with two twins on the same night when he is going to marry Diane without Rebecca knowing. He makes a bet with Carla, saying that if this affects his major league comeback he will sell the bar.
