Samoa is an island country on the Pacific Ocean. In 1997, its constitution was amended to change the name from Western Samoa to Samoa, though "Western" is still sometimes used to differentiate itself and its people from the surrounding area.

History

When Lisa unwraps Bart's globe, Samoa is one of the countries seen upon the globe.^[1]
